This weekend I went to my first Cincinnati Paint Out.
The setting was a historic German Town sponsored by the Woman’s Art Club. This group was founded in 1892, originally because the Cincinnati Art Club excluded Woman. Today neither club excludes genders.
I’m practicing my trees. We will be moving to an area with more hills and trees. Cincinnati here I come! This is why my blog has been quiet, moving is too much work!
Now available at The Daily Paintworks
I enjoyed working with textures in this painting.
“Rolling Up the Carpet #14″ 9×12” Canvas Board
I felt like doing another sky, my favorite subject. They are magical to me.
‘Rolling Up the Carpet #12″ 9×12″ Canvas Board
I enjoy making pictures with Hay Bails, but I have never painted them covered in snow.
“Frosted Wheats #1″ 5×7” Canvas Board
First of a of few paintings for Christmas sales.
“Rolling Up the Carpet #11″ 5×7” Canvas Board
I started again with a study because I might as well make some adjustments to the composition, since it doesn’t need to be exactly as it is in real life.
Mainly I move the tree to the right, and changed the direction of the water in the foreground. The first painting I did is in recent posts.
The study is 9×12″ and the final will probably be 18×24″.
