Thinking of Sunshine

img_3276I’m thinking of sunshine and flowers, while our first blizzard hits. Yesterday our yard was a healthy green. Today it wears a blanket of snow, but it’s pretty too.
The first image is the under painting, and the second is the finished work. 8″x10″ acrylic on canvas board.

Painting Flowers for My Mom

Happy Mother’s Day!
I usually get spring potted flower’s for my Mom for Mother’s Day, but this time I thought I would paint some that don’t need to be watered, and will last beyond the season.
6×6″ stretched gallery edge canvas.

Painting Makeover 02

AFTER
image

This palette knife painting represents a rose from memory. In the BEFORE version I was satisfied with the composition, but not the colors I don’t know why I use the dull brown. Anyway, I looked at it today by chance, and thought I want to fix this. The texture has a bit different effect covering over the top of existing texture but I’m glad I went for it! I may try this again from scratch sometime.
